The annual Swirl Dance is coming up quickly, with its official date being this Saturday, February 3 at 8 pm. Tickets are on sale at lunch all week for $10, so make sure to buy one! If you’re looking to bring a guest to the dance, be sure to fill out the permission slip and have it approved BY Thursday, February 1 to ensure they will be let in. If not approved by Thursday, unfortunately, your guest will not be permitted to the dance. Pick up the form in the main office!

Student Council has been working hard to make sure this coming week and dance go smoothly. They’ve made sure to plan a week of fun, and even an assembly on Friday with games and competitions.

Spirit Days:

Beginning Monday, January 29, the theme will be “Grout Fit.” Stemming from the combination of the words “grey outfit,” make sure to show up in your comfy, grey clothes!

Next up is Tuesday, January 30, as Men in Black. Either individually, or with a group show up in your stylish clothes to show off your amazing fashion. Or, take the comfy route and wear your black sweatpants and hoodie with a pair of sunglasses.

Wednesday, January 31 will be Twin Day. Have a best friend or group of people you want to match with? Wednesday is the perfect day to plan and coordinate your outfits to either a theme or identically. Whether you want matching Comfies, cute clothes, or random outfits, this is the day to put it on display.

Following Twin Day will be Winter Wear on February 2. With the winter season and snow, pull out your jackets, hats, mitts, and snow pants, to show up extra bundled on Wednesday! As the snow begins to melt, this may be one of the last times you’ll need the gear for a while.

Friday, February 2, pull out your Valentine’s colors! Grades have been divided into two groups and assigned a color. Freshmen and sophomores should show up in red, while the juniors and seniors will wear pink. If you don’t happen to own either of these colors, that’s ok too; just show up with your spirit!

Finally, the Monday after Swirl, February 5, will be comfy. As a way to relax, wear your pajamas to school and maybe even bring a blanket for extra coziness!

Have fun this week and at the dance Hawks!
