This week, there are a few clubs releasing “need to know” information! Whether you are in these clubs or considering joining, it is still overall a bullet point for everyone to know! Clubs like Kids Food Basket, Volunteering Club, Environmental Club, Red Cross Club, HOSA, and the Student Voice Committee have a few things they would like for everyone to know!
Pull up to room A219 in Ms. Teitsma’s room! There, you will be painting pumpkins for senior residents at the Ronald McDonald House on Thursday. It will be so much fun, and it’s so worth going to. Bring your friends as well, because they wouldn’t want to miss out. This Friday, there will be a Kids Food Basket meeting in Mrs. Barnes room after school at 2:40. If you are willing to donate $5 or more to the organization, more instructions will be coming soon.
Every Tuesday, there is a meeting for the Environmental Club. This week, members recycled cans and bottles from each hallway and went on a walk on the track field to pick up some trash if there was some. It’s a load of fun! If you want to join, please email Renee Sherrington at [email protected] for more information. Last week, there was a Red Cross meeting in Mrs. Geers’ room. If you like helping your community, love learning about medicine and science related fields, this club is for you! Members signed up to the Red Cross Volunteering Connections and watched a required video. It’s a very chill club, and we would love to see new faces! Join and bring your friends because it’s a ton of fun and colleges like seeing clubs like the Red Cross on your transcript (especially if you are interested in going to the medicine tract).
There will be a HOSA meeting on November 7th! If you are interested in learning more about careers involving science and medicine, this club is for you! There will be projects and competitions and working with others. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Vaishavi Srinivassan at [email protected]. The Student Voice Committee works to share inclusivity and equality for all and it stretches across the district. Members meet at the Fine Arts Center usually every last Monday of each month. If you are interested, please email Ms. James at [email protected].
